The intransigence and Aquino's defense of the pork barrel system, especially his own billions of funds under the Disbursement Acceleration Program (DAP), gravely stoke the people's outrage against the Aquino regime's corruption and the rotten ruling system.

Because of this, his anti-corruption rhetorics are swiftly unleashed which he used to cover-up the rotteness of his regime and the system he tried administering. Despite of this, he has been trying to instill the illusion of "righteous path" to the minds of the people though it is riddled with cracks.
