Army Commanders in Mindanao make final push on bayanihan

FORT BONIFACIO, Taguig City – The Army battalion commanders based in Eastern Mindanao attended a 3-day conference held at Seda Hotel, Lanang, Davao City from May 17 to 19 to discuss new army policies and operational updates in connection with the final push on the Internal Peace and Security Plan (IPSP) “Bayanihan”.

This conference is in line with the Army’s commitment to pursue the goals and objectives of the AFP’s IPSP “Bayanihan” to end insurgency before the end of the year.

Aside from the talk of Eastern Mindanao Command Commander, Lt. Gen. Rey Leonardo B. Guerrero, the Army Commanding General, Lt. Gen. Eduardo M. Año gave his guidance to the participants during the last day of the conference.

“As professional soldiers, we will continue to pursue the set goals of the IPSP based on the intent of higher headquarters,” said Año.

The Battalion Commanders’ Conference is conducted annually in the different Philippine Army major units nationwide. #
