The Change of Command Ceremony was presided over by Philippine Army Commanding General, Lt. General Glorioso V. Miranda.
The outgoing Commander was very grateful for the support he received during his stint as the Commander of 6ID. He may have served only for 4 months but he commanded the division to greatness.
In his assumption speech, Brig. Gen. Dela Vega assured his predecessor Maj Gen. Galvez to continue the best practices and what the division has started particularly the fight against terrorism and illegal drugs.
Brig Gen. dela Vega assumed the position as the 34th Commander of 6ID. Prior to his assumption of Command, he was the Commandant of Command and General Staff College of the AFP.
He also served 6ID when he was the Commander of 603rd Infantry Brigade from June 18, 2014 to December 28, 2015 and the Assistant Division Commander from December 9, 2015 to June 27, 2016.
The new Commander is a member of the PMA “Sandiwa” Class of 1985.

Camp Siongco, Awang, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao – After steering 6th Infantry Division for almost 4 months, Major General Carlito G Galvez relinquished the key responsibility as the Commander to Brigadier General Arnel B. dela Vega here this morning.The Change of Command Ceremony was presided over by Philippine Army Commanding General, Lt.
