The Task Force of Reconciliation and Unification was created by the Bangsamoro Transition Commission under Resolution No. 02, Series of 2018 dated January 16, 2018.
The mandate of the Task Force is to emphasize the status and rights of the Indigenous Peoples in the proposed Bangsamoro Entity.
It aims to gather issues and concern of the IP's and make recommendations to the Bangsamoro Commission and probably to be put in the priority agenda of the parliament if Bangsamoro government will take place.
The visit dubbed as " uyag kapagilaya " or " bisitang kapatid " was facilitated by BTC Commissioners Timuay Melanio Ulama and Timuay Romeo Saliga with assistance from 57th IB under Col. Clemente and Major Agaton.
The visit was fruitful considering that community and tribal leaders participated in the discussion and presented their issues on peace and development, security, livelihood, and unity among their tribes.
Chairman Midtimbang assured them that all issues brought will be tackled by the Task Force on their 2nd meeting and make necessary recommendations to the Chairman of the Bangsamoro Transition Commission

COTABATO CITY. April 12, 2018. The Bangsamoro Transition Commission Task Force on Reconciliation and Unification under the leadership of Chairman Datu Antao Midtimbang visited Mt. Ferez known as sacred mount of the Indigenous People of Maguindanao located at the mountain ranges of Talayan, Guindolungan, Datu Saudi, Datu Unsay all belong to the Province of Maguindanao.The Task Force of Reconciliation and Unification was created by the Bangsamoro Transition Commission under Resolution No. 02, Series of 2018 dated January 16, 2018.
