Sugoda Buayan Royal House, NCMF, Muwogens conduct relief mission for Cotabato Province earthquake victims

Sugoda Buayan Royal House, National Commission on Muslim Filipinos Sarangani-Gensan Provincial Office and Muslim Women Organization of Socsargen conducted relief mission in three villages in Makilala, Cotabato Province on Sunday (Nov 10) to extend assistance to the earthquake victims. 

The relief items were provided by generous Muslim individuals and organizations from General Santos City and Isulan in their will to lessen the burden carried by the victims of the calamity.

“It is our duty as Muslims to help our brothers and sisters who are in desperate situation,” said Raja Muda Abdulhamid Ingkong, head of Sugoda Buayan Royal House.

Datu Khomenei Camsa Bansuan, popularly known as the King of Moro songs, rendered some songs for the beneficiaries of the relief mission. 

Aida Seddic, president of Muwogens, thanked those who shared their time and resources to reach out the victims of last month’s natural calamity that affected Cotabato Province and its adjacent towns.

“May the Almighty reciprocate the kindness of those who shared their resources for the victims,”she prayed.

Three tremors occurred in Mindanao last month had magnitude of 6.3 on October 16, 6.6 on October 29 and 6.1 on October 31 with the depth of 7 to 9 kilometers.

NCMF Secretary Saidamen B. Pangarungan also expressed gratitude for the organizers of the outreach initiative and those who provided the relief packs.

Sugoda Buayan Royal House has been actively involved in peace advocacy, campaign against violent extremism, and outreach activities to victims of natural disasters.


Early January this year, the royal house, NCMF and Muwogen, gave food and non-food items for the fire victims of Purok Islam, Dadiangas South, General Santos City.

Its Kadatuan members are active in settling marital disputes among Muslim couples of the city and its adjacent provinces, Sarangani and South Cotabato.

Muwogens had also provided assistance for the Marawi Siege victims who sought shelter in their families in General Santos City.
