"We are grateful for the Army frontliner's sacrifice in serving the Filipino people amidst the threat of an unseen enemy. May these equipment protect you as you carry out your mission in helping our government fight the virus," said Briguez.
The frontliners, being exposed to the possible source of the virus, can use the equipment to prevent them from contracting the virus and carrying out their service to people.
"Your donation is timely and life-saving. The items will greatly protect our personnel, especially those who are deployed at the quarantine assistatance stations all over the country. These will enable them to better assess the people suspected of COVID-19 infection," Vice Commander, Philippine Army Maj. Gen. Reynaldo M. Aquino said in the turn-over ceremony.
"Our fight with the disease may seem to be a long-term process but with the help of partners and stakeholders like you, we will win this battle. Together, we will overcome the odds," Aquino added. #
