'Together, we will move forward': CGPA vows to continue innovating the Philippine Army

The Commanding General Philippine Army (CGPA) Lt. Gen. Roy M. Galido sets forth his comprehensive command guidance to the Army's top brass and all senior officials, emphasizing earnest innovations and adept military operations during the Philippine Army-wide Command Conference held via video teleconferencing and onsite in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City on January 13, 2024.

The first command conference for the year reviewed and evaluated the role of the Philippine Army as a reliable, responsive, and relevant force provider to the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP); highlighted the key accomplishments of the PA units; and disseminated updates, plans and programs of the HPA's General Staff.

The CGPA conveyed his command guidance – giving marching orders to the 110,000 members of the Philippine Army to amplify an effective and disciplined organization ready to face the challenges of becoming a multi-mission ready, cross-domain capable and world-class Army.

Lt. Gen. Galido reiterated his command thrusts encapsulated in the acronym “ARMY”: Soldiers to Always pray to seek divine guidance in their daily activities; Soldiers should strive on being Reliable, Responsive, and Relevant to address the needs of the nation; and every resource, effort, and sacrifice must be Mission-oriented to strengthen the troops’ Morale which is paramount in the command - all these essential qualities of the soldiers to Yield personal interests and comforts for unity, the Army, the AFP, and the nation.

Lt. Gen. Galido also encouraged the command to step out of the old and embrace new challenges. “As soldiers, as family men and women, as public servants, and as honorable Filipinos, we must take innovative steps together to evolve into a world-class Army," the CGPA remarked.

The HPA Command Group and selected Staff Officers and PAMU Commanders attended the event onsite while Brigade Commanders and other HPA Staff Officers participated through video teleconferencing.
