Sheikh Ashraf Salih, President of SKYPAD told the beneficiaries that the assistance were intended to help the community affected by long drought or El-Niño.
“This assistance came from our own collected contribution, not from any local or foreign organization or individual,” Salih said.
Ustadz Ya’cob Asgar, Chair of Committee on Da’wah said that local officials lauded the relief program initiated by the SKYPAD.
“We appreciate this kind of program, thanks also to those who cooperated with this program”, Asgar said.
Meanwhile, the group also conducted an Islamic Symposium on June 19 at Barangay Mulaog, Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao.
Similar program was also held on June 30 at Barangay Calsada, Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao attended by more than 200 individuals.
Cash and some items were awarded to those who can give correct answers to questions asked by the resource persons.

Humanitarian Relief Assistance and Islamic Symposia held during last ten days of Ramadhan
Cotabato City – About 200 families in Barangay Balacayon, Pigcawayan, North Cotabato and other nearby villages received relief assistance during the 16th Annual Islamic Symposium held on the 19th Day of Ramadhan, corresponding to 23rd day of this holy month held at the said village.The project was initiated by the Shariff Kabunsuan Youth for Peace and Development (SKYPAD) which was founded in 2001.
