Special Forces troops neutralize CNT member, seize high-powered firearms
FORT BONIFACIO, Metro Manila – Troops of the 7th Special Forces Company, Special Forces Regiment (Airborne) neutralized a CPP-NPA-Terrorist (CNT) member and seized high-powered firearms in an encounter yesterday, April 14, 2021 in Surigao Del Sur.
Said troops were conducting Intensive Military Operation at Sitio Magkahunao, Barangay Buhisan, San Agustin when a 30-minute firefight transpired against more or less 10 CNTs. The enemy then withdrew leaving two M16 rifles, one AK47 rifle, and one M653 rifle.
The Philippine Army continues to capacitate its forces to further strengthen its resolve against the atrocities of terror groups and sustain the peace and security in the nation.#
