Army celebrates AFP's 89th Founding Anniversary in a simultaneous Inter-Faith prayer service and Flag Raising ceremony


FORT BONIFACIO, Taguig City – The Philippine Army joined in the celebration of the 89th Armed Forces of the Philippines Founding Anniversary through a simultaneous Inter-Faith prayer service and Flag Raising ceremony at Headquarters Philippine Army, Fort Andres Bonifacio, Taguig City on December 20, 2024.

The event was graced by the Commanding General Philippine Army, Lt. Gen. Roy M. Galido, and was attended by Army officers, enlisted personnel, and civilian human resource. Lt. Gen. Galido, conveyed the heartfelt message of the AFP Chief of Staff, Gen. Romeo S. Brawner Jr.

"As we reflect on 89 years of service, let us remember that our strength comes from working together, united by our shared mission. It is through our collective effort that we fulfill our duty and contribute to a better future for our fellow Filipinos. As we face new challenges, both within and outside our ranks, let us remember the importance of this bond and the ideals that define our nation. We must preserve the freedom that allows every Filipino to dream, to grow, and to thrive," Lt. Gen. Galido delivered.
